Picknick on the Moon - 2024

As a viewer you see two people on the moon who look at the earth as we on earth look at the moon. If you look up close you will see the two red figures on the moon. They are red to symbolise that they are lovers. Making this painting I had a lot of fun. I started with spray painting the space, sun and earth. For the moon I used a finger painting technique. I got the idea for this painting during a conversation I had with someone I met during travel. He said he said how he did not really care for going to the stars, but that having a picnic on the moon while watching earth would be really cool.
