Who am I?

My story starts with my birth on may 18th 2004 in Arnhem, the Netherlands. In my first year I got diagnosed with Cerebral palsy. That diagnosis did not make my parents raise me any different than they would with an able-bodied child. I was taught to really try something before giving up. Just like Pippi Langkous has said “I have never done it before, so I think I can do it.”

After secundary-school I started with the Bachelor of Creative therapie at the University of Applied Sciences in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. A few months before I started I got chronic pain in my left foot. This resulted in a surgery I during the summer before I started another year at the University. After my second year I started a 3 month solo-backpacking trip through Europe. It was during this trip I had decided to stop this study to fully focus on an art career.

Art and travel have been my biggest passion for a long time. I create art that means something to me. Taking inspiration from my own experiences in this world. Whether that is from experiences in my body, experiences out in the world or interactions if it inspires me in some way or touches my heart, I will make art about it.
